Our story

Made for her family first.

There is no lab in Switzerland and no founder story written by an agency. There is a woman, a kitchen counter, and about ten years of getting one cream right.

Cream decanted by hand into jars on a kitchen counter

She could not find a clean cream that worked on her own dry, reactive skin at a price she thought was fair. So she spent about ten years making one in her kitchen, giving jars away at Christmas, and quietly fixing it every time somebody said it felt heavy or slid off.

Amanda took over the formulating. Jared handles the part nobody in the family enjoys. The formula did not change when it got a label on it, and the batch size still fits on a kitchen counter.

That is the whole company. There is no lab in Switzerland and no founder story invented by an agency. It is a cream a woman made for people she loves, and the price reflects what it costs to make, not what the category thinks it can charge.

Quality skincare is not a luxury. It never should have been.

Skin is skin. Rü is for everyone, and the price is set to keep that true rather than to signal something on a shelf.

Amanda formulates

She took the formula over from Rudonna and has not changed what works. She is the reason there is still no fragrance in it.

It is still small batch

Made to order, in quantities that fit on a counter. That is why shipping takes two or three days instead of two hours.

The price is the point

$38 covers what the raw materials cost plus an honest margin. Nothing in there is paying for a magazine spread.
