Most creams have thirty ingredients because thirty ingredients is what it takes to make something cheap feel expensive. Rü has six because six is what the job needs.

Refills the lipid gaps between skin cells. This is the workhorse.

Jojoba oil
Closest thing in nature to your own sebum, so skin does not read it as foreign.

Vegetable glycerin
Pulls water into the upper layers and holds it there.

Sunflower seed oil
Linoleic acid. Low comedogenicity, calms visible redness.

Vitamin E
Keeps the oils from oxidising so the jar stays honest to the last scoop.

No fragrance, no essential oils, no dyes, no drying alcohol, no filler.
How it works
Your barrier is a wall. Most creams water it.

The wall gets gappy
Your outer layer is skin cells held together by lipids. Hot showers, wind, retinol, cheap surfactants and age all thin those lipids out. Water walks straight out through the gaps.
Most creams add water
A standard oil-in-water lotion is mostly water with a little oil floating in it. It feels great for twenty minutes. Then the water evaporates and takes some of yours with it.
Rü is built the other way round
Water-in-oil. The oil phase is the outside, so it stays on the surface as a breathable film while the water sits underneath, where your skin can actually use it.
The gaps close
Shea, jojoba and glycerin refill the lipid spaces. The wall goes back to doing its job. That is the whole product. No actives shouting over each other.
